The Pentagon plans to launch the 10th Quadrennial Review of Military Compensation on April 1. Officials say they will base the QRMC on the recommendations of the Defense Advisory Committee on Military Compensation. The Congressionally chartered commission submitted an initial assessment in late February and planned to turn in its final recommendations in April. Leading the Pentagon effort will be retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Jan D. Eakle, who last served as deputy director of the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.
As it develops new weapons to attack satellites, the U.S. Space Force is focused more on ground-based efforts where the technology is more mature, the service’s top general said April 3.
