A US surveillance drone equipped with a camera crashed in Pakistan near the Afghanistan border last week after suffering technical difficulties, reported AFP, citing several Pakistani officials. American officials are believed to have recovered the wreckage and no damage was reported, according to the report. The US uses remotely piloted aircraft to monitor militants in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Drone crashes are rare.
