Stone Released From Hospital

A1C Spencer Stone was released from the hospital where he was treated for multiple stab wounds, according to the University of California Davis Medical Center. Sacramento police are still looking for two men they believe stabbed Stone in the chest Oct. 8 in Sacramento. Stone was still recovering from injuries he sustained in August when he tackled a gunman on a high-speed train to Paris, stopping a terrorist attack. He thanked the first responders and the team at the hospital for taking care of him. “I’m focused now on healing and recovering, and look forward to the next part of my journey,” he said in a written statement. Stone’s mother, Joyce Eskel, said she is grateful to the doctors, nurses, and others who treated him. “We’ve been overwhelmed by the support from our family and friends, the Sacramento area, the Air Force, and people around the world,” she said. “Thank you all.”
