During an early December transformation ceremony, the wing inactivated three mission support groups, replacing them with a force support group, installation support group, and security forces/logistics support group. “We are doing something fundamentally different,” said LaBrutta. “I firmly believe that through this action, the 502nd Air Base Wing is formally organized the way that provides us the best opportunity to achieve our vision,” he added.
