Air Force Reserve Command stood up the 931st Security Forces Squadron at McConnell AFB, Kan. The unit will focus on antiterrorism, unit protection, investigations, and information security. “The 931st Security Forces Squadron’s primary duty is to train for deployments to augment security at diverse deployed locations around the globe,” explained MSgt. William Stockwell, the unit’s security forces action officer and squad leader. “It’s a unique experience to get to start a unit,” said Maj. Edward Hunn, the squadron’s commander, during Saturday’s activation ceremony. “We’ve tried to start off on the right foot by recruiting good [noncommissioned officers] to train our young airmen.” The unit currently has some 50 members. It is a component of AFRC’s 931st Air Refueling Group that helps operate and maintain the KC-135 tankers at McConnell alongside the active duty 22nd Air Refueling Wing. (McConnell report by 1st Lt.
