A military jury found TSgt. Marc Gayden, a former basic military training instructor at JBSA-Lackland, Tex., not guilty of raping a female trainee back in December 2010, reported the San Antonio Express-News. The four-day trial concluded on July 26, according to the newspaper. The jury also acquitted Gayden of several other charges of sexual misconduct. The Express-News reported on July 23 that Gayden, an 11-year airman, was the 25th former MTI at Lackland whom the Air Force has tried for sexual misconduct. As it develops new weapons to attack satellites, the U.S. Space Force is focused more on ground-based efforts where the technology is more mature, the service’s top general said April 3.
