Air Force Reserve Command crew chiefs from the 302nd Airlift Wing, attained faultless maintenance scores on two C-130s within a fortnight at Peterson AFB, Colo. “Two Black Letter aircraft in two-week’s time is a rare and extraordinary accomplishment that was only possible by the outstanding skill, teamwork, and dedication of our maintainers,” stated Col. James Van Housen, commander of the 302nd Maintenance Group. The two C-130H3 Hercules, tail numbers 94-7318 and 94-7310, are jointly maintained by the 302nd AW and the active duty associate 52nd Airlift Wing at Peterson. “Everyone’s of the same mindset to fix it right the first time and not have to go back. We try to alleviate the quick fix concept,” explained MSgt. William Harris, 302nd MG structural maintenance section chief. (Peterson report by TSgt. Daniel Butterfield)
