The 341st Space Wing at Malmstrom AFB, Mont., and the Joint Space Operations Center at Vandenberg AFB, Calif., are the recipients of the 2007 Deterrence Operation Trophy and the 2007 Space Operations Trophy, respectively. The citizens of Omaha, Neb., provided the Omaha Trophy to Strategic Air Command in 1971, through the city’s SAC Consultation Committee, to be presented annually to the outstanding SAC wing. The tradition continued after the demise of SAC and creation of US Strategic Command, with additional categories added, subtracted, and further changed over the years. A third category, the 2007 Cyberspace Trophy, went to the Joint Functional Component Command–Network Warfare at Ft. Meade, Md. (STRATCOM release)
