A gunman killed two airmen and wounded two other airmen in an incident Wednesday at Frankfurt International Airport in Frankfurt, Germany, US Air Forces in Europe officials announced. The Air Force is withholding the names of the deceased pending notification of their families. German authorities have the shooter in custody and are investing the incident. USAFE will release more details as they become available, said the officials. Associated Press reports that the gunman, allegedly a 21-year-old man from Kosovo, fired at the airmen as they were on a military bus sitting outside an airport terminal.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth or perhaps even President Donald Trump will have the final say on a way forward for the Air Force’s Next-Generation Air Dominance fighter, the nominee to serve as the Pentagon’s No. 2 civilian said at his confirmation hearing.
