The Air Force will purchase a C-37A executive transport for $26.8 million that it previously leased from Gulfstream Aerospace. The aircraft is based on the Gulfstream V business jet. The Air Force operates a fleet of 10 C-37As that augments the service’s larger Boeing 757-based C-32s for shuttling senior military and government officials. United Launch Alliance’s new Vulcan Centaur rocket is slated to fly its second national security mission in February—nearly six months after its first operational launch and almost a year after it was certified to fly military payloads for the Space Force.
