Airmen from the 10th Combat Weather Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Fla., will integrate into the 720th Special Tactics Group on May 16, following an inactivation ceremony at the base earlier this month, 1st Special Operations Wing spokesman SrA. Kentavist Brackin told Air Force Magazine. Col. Kurt Buller, commander of the 720th STG, presided over the May 7 inactivation ceremony, according to a May 14 release. “When you leave this building … I want you to excel because there are a lot of people depending on you,” said Buller. The 10th CWS traces its ties to combat and special operations back to 1943, said MSgt. April Dalessandro, 10th CWS first sergeant, in the release. “More than 1,000 Air National Guardsmen nationwide have either volunteered or deployed with this squadron,” states the release.
