Singapore has chosen Boeing’s F-15SG as the country’s next generation replacement fighter, awarding a contract to the company for 12 of the fighters with an option for eight additional aircraft at a future date. The F-15SG is an advanced version of the USAF F-15E Strike Eagle. Boeing officials say the company will begin delivering the aircraft in 2008, allowing the Republic of Singapore Air Force to start replacing its A-4SU Skyhawks.
