According to a new CBS poll, approximately two-thirds of US adults surveyed believe the results of the Iraq war are not worth the costs. Fifty-five percent of the 808 adults surveyed believe the US should not have invaded Iraq, and 32 percent believe the results made the war worth the effort. In September 2004, 54 percent of adults surveyed said invading Iraq was the right choice, with 39 percent saying the invasion should not have happened.
The U.K. and the U.S. will continue to enjoy access to the ports, airfield, and workshops at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean for at least another century, under a deal inked between the U.K. and Mauritius May 22.
