An A-20 from the 416th Bomb Group makes a bombing run on June 6, 1944, during the D-Day invasion. The 416th went on to play a critical role in trapping German forces in the Falaise Gap August 6-9, 1944, for which it was recognized with a Distinguished Unit Citation.
