President Donald Trump has nominated both Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Marine Corps Gen. Joseph Dunford and Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs USAF Gen. Paul Selva for reappointment to their current positions, the Pentagon announced Friday. Both were originally confirmed to the JCS in 2015. Reappointment for each will require confirmation by the Senate, according to a JCS spokesperson. If confirmed, each would serve a second two-year term. Confirmation hearings are likely to be held in June or July, according to a Senate Armed Services Committee spokesperson, who said the committee has not yet decided whether to hold a joint hearing or separate hearings to confirm the nominations.
