Members of the 100th Air Refueling Wing at RAF Mildenhall, England, and their British counterparts at RAF Marham worked on building unit cohesion during the leadership, ethos, and air power, or LEAP, day at Marham. The Dec. 6 gathering was meant to be a fun way for both the USAF and RAF airmen to work together. Members were broken into 16 teams that competed against each other in activities such as paintball “capture the flag” and target practice. “It was a great opportunity to work with RAF [airmen] and see the different workings of the air force from another country,” said Capt. Alex Waxman of Mildenhall’s 351st Air Refueling Squadron. (Marham report by SrA. Tabitha M. Lee)
Air Force Gen. Jacqueline D. Van Ovost—a trailblazer and one of the first 10 women to reach a four-star rank across the U.S. military—retired and passed control of U.S. Transportation Command to Air Force Gen. Randall Reed on Oct. 4, finishing an eventful tenure at TRANSCOM.
