: “There’s only one that [Iran] will be stopped, if at all, and not even stopped but delayed, and that would be by military attack,” stated columnist Charles Krauthammer at the AFA’s Air & Space Conference, “and I think it is very clear that will not come from the United States.” In light of the fact that “Israel could, if Iran went nuclear, be destroyed in a day,” the remaining question is whether or not Israel will act to prevent Iran from fielding a nuclear capability. Krauthammer highlighted that, although UN and bi-lateral sanctions have hampered Iran, there is little doubt that they remain insufficient to prevent “a regime hell-bent on going nuclear” from achieving its ambition, a fact which deeply concerns US allies across the region, and beyond.
