Retired Gen. John Corley, former Air Combat Command boss, is scheduled for induction into ACC’s Order of the Sword, the highest honor of the enlisted corps, during a ceremony Jan. 13 in Omaha, Neb. “Anyone who served with General Corley knows how fortunate we were to have served with this great American, a true leader among leaders,” said CMSgt. Martin Klukas, ACC command chief, who will participate in the event. Klukas added that Corley is quite deserving of the high honor for his tireless efforts to support airmen and their families. “He was always focused on what could be done to improve the quality of life for the enlisted corps,” said Klukas. Corley retired in November after 36 years in the Air Force. He led ACC from October 2007 to September 2009. (Offutt report by SSgt. James M. Hodgman)
