The
2009 recruiting drive by Air Force Reserve Command’s 400-strong recruiting force has reached its annual enlisted accession goal for the ninth straight year, bringing in 8,800 recruits two months ahead of the end of the fiscal year—the earliest on record—reports AFRC. According to a Pentagon release, the month of August was a banner one for AFRC, which reached 495 percent of its goal, recruiting 827 enlistees. In August, all the services reached 100 percent or better, with the Army topping the list at 136 percent of its goal of 6,100. The reserve components had mixed results in August, but as we reported last month, Pentagon officials remain confident that all the services and their reserve components will make their goals for Fiscal 2009.
