The Air Force has requested industry information to help it develop a future ICBM sustainment and acquisition concept (FISAC). The 526th ICBM Systems Group of the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill AFB, Utah, on Aug. 4 issued a request for information, the results of which it expects will help it develop an acquisition strategy for sustaining the Minuteman III and future related systems. The 526th ICBMSG, according to briefing slides accompanying the RFI, potentially expects to add 50 engineering, 25 program management, and 10 contracting positions over the next five years. With the anticipated retirement of key personnel in both the group and industry, the 526th wants help in developing a means to capture their experience, technical information, and knowledge. Industry responses are due Aug. 21.
