Airmen of the Ohio Air National Guard’s 121st Air Refueling Wing are spending the next two months, rather than the usual two to three weeks, at Andersen AFB, Guam, to help fill the void left by ANG KC-135 units unable to deploy. TSgt. Steven Wilson reports that those units are either disbanding or undergoing mission conversions, courtesy of BRAC 2005 and ongoing Air Force modernization efforts.
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
