Officials at Dover AFB, Del., activated the 736th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron to prepare for the arrival in June of the first C-17 airlifter. In a unique dual ceremony at the Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover, the 3rd Airlift Squadron, which flew its last C-5 flight in March, received a new commander. The Delaware base will fly both the C-17 and the C-5, using a combination of active and Air Force Reserve airmen.
Air Force F-16s from Germany Deploy to Middle East

As tensions spiral in the Middle East, U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons from Germany have flown to the region, U.S. Central Command said Oct. 25. The F-16s are from the 480th Fighter Squadron at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, and represent some of the service’s most advanced models.
