Polychlorinated biphenyls, or PCBs, have been found in soil samples of about 100 homes in a section of military family housing near the southwest gate of Hill AFB, Utah. The Deseret Morning News reports that construction crews detected the PCBs while renovating the housing. A base official told the newspaper that an investigation is underway to determine the extent of the contamination, but the Air Force does not believe the situation presents an immediate human health hazard.
