Some 400 airmen are working their way through the latest Eagle Flag training exercise in the “wilds” of New Jersey, where they construct an air base from scratch. The airmen, who have “deployed” to Naval Air Engineering Station Lakehurst, N.J., build a “tent city” within the first four hours of arriving at the site which, at this time of year, features near below zero temperatures, frozen ground, snow, and ice.
