Donald Erbschloe, former deputy and acting chief operating officer for the Department of Energy’s Office of Science, has been named the chief scientist for Air Mobility Command. He will advise the commander on science and technical issues, and communicate with other agencies about AMC’s mission and vision. Erbschloe said he sees himself as a bridge between the scientific and operations communities. He wants to help airmen overcome challenges by integrating new technology into their work.
