Airstrikes supporting coalition ground forces south of Baqubah on the Diyala River in Iraq killed 14 terrorists and destroyed a safe house used by foreign fighters on Jan. 27, according to a Multinational Force-Iraq release. Paring that with US Central Command Air Forces coverage of Jan. 27 coalition air sorties near Baghdad, Tikrit, and Diyala, it would appear that USAF F-16s conducted this particular air strike.
Air Force F-16s from Germany Deploy to Middle East

As tensions spiral in the Middle East, U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons from Germany have flown to the region, U.S. Central Command said Oct. 25. The F-16s are from the 480th Fighter Squadron at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, and represent some of the service’s most advanced models.
