The Air Force Weather Agency just introduced the newest fine-scale computer-forecasting program, the first to be developed in almost a decade. Called the weather research and forecasting model, or WRF, the system is more accurate and efficient than previous models and will help improve weather forecast accuracy. Future WRF models will add even more fine-scale resolution and improved accuracy.
