Looking at the Gift Horse

After praising the VA for offering credit checks (see above), Sen. George Allen took the prudent approach of altering his original amendment to ensure that VA picks up the entire tab. On Wednesday, the Senator’s office stated, “Senator Allen is clarifying his amendment to ensure that while the government may negotiate a low fixed price for these credit check/monitoring services, the final cost will be paid for in-full by the federal government and not by individual veterans.”
