Guam’s KUAM TV reports that the Air Force has offered three options in an environmental impact statement outlining the service’s plans for Andersen AFB, Guam. Service officials have said they want to place Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles and possibly aerial refuelers on the island, in addition to using it to stage fighter and bomber forces. KUAM says the EIS provides alternatives for various mixes of manned and unmanned aircraft, both permanent and rotational, and the obligatory alternative for no permanent aircraft. Air Force F-16s from Germany Deploy to Middle East

As tensions spiral in the Middle East, U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons from Germany have flown to the region, U.S. Central Command said Oct. 25. The F-16s are from the 480th Fighter Squadron at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, and represent some of the service’s most advanced models.
