The Climate Is “Encouraging”:

Partaking in the Air Force’s 2005 climate survey were more than half of the total force, according to service officials. USAF has not released the actual survey to the public yet, but Gen. Michael Moseley, Chief of Staff, shared the results with the major command leadership last week. CMSAF Gerald Murray called the 2005 data “encouraging on a couple of fronts.” They are: total force participation and similar overall satisfaction whether an airman is deployed or stateside. The latter case was a matter of some concern, said Murray, given the service’s continuing expeditionary requirements. The group expressing the lowest level of job satisfaction comprises active duty senior airmen. And, middle rank enlisted member’s express “significantly lower” trust in unit senior leadership, but the overall job satisfaction for that same group rose slightly.
