World War II Remains Identified:

Remains found in the wreckage of a B-24 Liberator discovered in New Guinea have been identified as the body of Army Air Forces bombardier Charles “Buddy” Feucht, a 24-year old airman who disappeared during a 1943 mission over the Pacific in search of Japanese ships. A hunter in New Guinea discovered the wreckage in 2002 and turned over remains to the US embassy. According to the Virginian-Pilot, Feucht’s sister—Fern Lord—who is now 83 provided blood for a DNA test.
