While combat medics and rescue personnel are hard at work making sure wounded troops get the treatment they need as soon as possible, airmen of the 379th Expeditionary Medical Squadron make sure that the medicine and supplies are available. The seven-person flight maintains more than $200,000 in medical supplies and $2.3 million in equipment, providing support to 12 medical units throughout the area of operations. “If we don’t give medics their supplies, they can’t survive,” said MSgt. Christopher Hale, the 379th EMEDS medical logistics flight chief.
The last remaining T-1 Jayhawk at JBSA-Randolph, Texas, took its final flight to the "Boneyard" at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., on July 15. The 99th Flying Training Squadron will train pilots using T-6 and simulator until it gets T-7 Red Hawk in fiscal 2026.
