Myers Returns to Alma Mater: Retired USAF Gen. Richard Myers, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will be going back to his alma mater, Kansas State University, to teach military history and leadership. KSU president Jon Wefald called Myers “one of [KSU’s] most distinguished graduates” and said his national security and international relations knowledge is “invaluable.” It’s a part time post, but Wefald said the former Chairman would “have a variety of duties.”
The 301st Fighter Wing in Fort Worth, Texas, became the first standalone Reserve unit in the Air Force to get its own F-35s, welcoming the first fighter Nov. 5.
