RAF Lakenheath has decided it’s high time base personnel learn what F-15E munitions work is all about. The base launched a course this fall that provides an introduction to munitions daily operations for lay airmen—support, medical, senior leaders, and operations personnel—not directly involved with munitions. Lakenheath officials say they modeled the program after the Air Force Combat Ammunition Center Senior Officer Orientation Cources conducted by 9th Munitions Squadron, Beale AFB, Calif. Lakenheath’s 48th Munitions Squadron plans to provide the one-day course six times per year.
Maj. Gen. Larry Broadwell, deputy commander of the 16th Air Force, used an elaborate, sports-themed analogy for understanding information warfare at the AFA Warfare Symposium.
