Air Force Reserve Command recruiters at Homestead AFB, Fla., decided to arrange a mass sign-on ceremony to induct the new fiscal year’s first recruits into the Air Force Reserve. The ceremony, held at the 482nd Fighter Wing at Homestead hosted local civic and elected officials—and six recruits, from a recent high school graduate to a former Air Force captain. Homestead recruiters achieved 124 percent of the wing goal in Fiscal 2006; the 2007 goal is 116.
Air Force Basic Military Training leaders say changes implemented as part of BMT 2.0 are generating positive results so far—especially when it comes to creating “airminded” new Airmen.
