Chances for promotion among enlisted Reservists just doubled, thanks to a policy change approved by Lt. Gen. John Bradley, head of Air Force Reserve Command, that advanced the promotion cycle from an every other month process to a monthly process. An AFRC release states that the command’s policy now is in consonance with USAF’s Future Total Force concept.
The United States Air Force is flying less than historic norms and funding for acquisition and readiness is on a path to further hollow out this too small and old force to that is incapable of sustaining an enduring combat air campaign.
