Air Force Space Command has inducted six new individuals, all retired Air Force officers, into the Space and Missile Pioneer Hall of Fame. They are: Col. Wilbert F. Craig III, Brig. Gen. Maurice A. Cristadoro Jr., Maj. Gen. Ben I. Funk, Col. Francis J. Hale, Lt. Col. Albert W. Johnson, and Col. Richard S. Leghorn.
Air Force Gen. Jacqueline D. Van Ovost—a trailblazer and one of the first 10 women to reach a four-star rank across the U.S. military—retired and passed control of U.S. Transportation Command to Air Force Gen. Randall Reed on Oct. 4, finishing an eventful tenure at TRANSCOM.
