Naval aviators give credit where credit is due. In the latest issue of Balad’s Red Tail Flyer, Navy Lt. Bryan Sory offered his appreciation for USAF air traffic controllers in Iraq, writing: “I’ve flown under their control many times and each time came away impressed by their level of professionalism and dedication. … Were it not for their selfless service, my job, and those of countess other aviators, would be difficult if not impossible.”
Hickham Air Force Base in Hawaii is trialing novel energy technology to provide electrical power and hydrogen fuel in the kind of isolated and austere outposts the Air Force will need in the Pacific theater for its new Agile Combat Employment way of warfare.
