The Air National Guard has extended the public comment period to Aug. 15 for its plan to lower the ceiling for training flights over parts of Maine. The Original Irregular of Kingfield, Maine, reports that the Massachusetts Air Guard plan met with opposition from residents and officials who fear disruption to the quality of life and tourism and potential safety concerns.
The Missile Defense Agency plans to test its ability to track and take down a hypersonic missile, staging a test flight in fiscal 2027 called “Project Maverick.”
