Boeing’s Orbital Express spacecraft has conducted a “fully autonomous fly-around-and-capture of its NextSat client spacecraft.” In April the company’s Autonomous Space Transport Robotic Operations servicing spacecraft demonstrated the ability to transfer propellant and a battery from one spacecraft to another. This time ASTRO separated from, circled around, and re-mated with the Ball Aerospace NextSat.
The Pave Hawk has landed, for the final time: the Air Force’s HH-60G helicopter made its final flight earlier this month. The 129th Rescue Wing of the California Air National Guard had a divestment ceremony for the service’s last operational HH-60G on Sept. 10 at Moffett Air National Guard Base.…
