How Busy Have the Hunters Been Air Force Reserve Command officials have toted up the numbers amassed by the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron’s WC-130J Hurricane Hunters during this year’s hurricane season—124 missions flown, logging nearly 1,200 hours. They say that equates to flying for 50 days straight. Whew!
