The Airlift/Tanker Association Hall of Fame has honored retired Maj. Gen. James “Bagger” Baginski with a bronze bust in front of the 375th Airlift Wing headquarters building at Scott AFB, Ill. At an Oct. 2 ceremony, Gen. Duncan McNabb, head of Air Mobility Command, said everyone at AMC is “deeply indebted to the Bagger,” who “foresaw and shaped the future of air mobility and then made it happen.”
The Air Force and Boeing agreed to a nearly $2.4 billion contract for a new lot of KC-46 aerial tankers on Nov. 21. The deal, announced by the Pentagon, is for 15 new aircraft in Lot 11 at a cost of $2.389 billion—some $159 million per tail.
