The Air Force has selected TSgt. Gerardo Medrano of the 8th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Kunsan AB, South Korea, as the 2005 Air Force Logistics Plans NCO of the Year—which recognizes an airman who has had a positive impact on logistics readiness. The Kunsan airman explains that his job is to manage all deployments and receptions at the Pacific Air Forces base. From the recent Commando Sling deployment to beddown by Navy and Marine units, Medrano said part of winning is getting some credit for the work he did as a tech school instructor. “My package also included bullets from my time as an instructor last year, which makes it that much sweeter,” he said.
