The Air Force has awarded SrA. Sean Murphy, with the Air Force Office of Special Investigation at Ramstein AB, Germany, a Bronze Star for his work while deployed to Kirkuk AB, Iraq. He credited his team for their success in gathering information about insurgents for US Army operational planning. His team also helped plan and carry out the capture of an insurgent cell hiding near the base.
Gen. Kenneth S. Wilsbach said the service must improve its readiness in his first public remarks as Air Force Chief of Staff, made during a ceremony marking his ascension to the service’s top job Nov. 18.
