Gen. Duncan McNabb, head of Air Mobility Command, presided over a ceremony this week at Ft, Dix, N.J., renaming the former Air Mobility Warfare Center the “Air Force Expeditionary Center.” AMC activated the AMWC on May 1, 1994, and streamlined and reorganized it in 2003. McNabb said the decision to change the name of the center came from other decisions, such as aligning all warfare centers under one center and realizing this one shouldn’t be ‘air mobility.’
The Space Force awarded Northrop Grumman a $398 million contract to design and build a communications satellite prototype with advanced anti-jam and data processing capabilities.
