Air Force Wants Wargame Program for “Dummies”: USAF has proffered $750,000 to Stottler Henke Associates to provide a software toolkit—called WarCon—that will make it possible for instructors who are subject matter experts rather than computer programmers to create computer-based wargames. Stottler calls the program a “visual authoring tool” that will “simplify and streamline” the process to create high-quality wargames. Actually, this sounds like a good plan. The last remaining T-1 Jayhawk at JBSA-Randolph, Texas, took its final flight to the "Boneyard" at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz., on July 15. The 99th Flying Training Squadron will train pilots using T-6 and simulator until it gets T-7 Red Hawk in fiscal 2026.
