Bragg, N.C., where he thanked the soldiers of Bragg’s 82nd Airborne Division and airmen of next-door’s Pope Air Force Base, as well as their families, for their efforts during the war on terror. In his remarks, Bush noted the link between the soldiers and airmen, saying that it is the “men and women of Pope Air Force Base who put the ‘air’ in Airborne.”
