The Air Force coordinated its latest Total Force initiative, a process called Transformational Aircrew Management Initiatives for the 21st Century (see above), through the active duty personnel and operations communities and the Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve Command. Air Force spokesman Capt. Tom Wenz told the Daily Report yesterday that the six TAMI-21 initiatives have been in development for many weeks. He added that “official execution” began last week. The service expects to complete the first assignment matches by July 15 and have the first batch of pilots relocate to their new assignments on Oct. 1. Wenz said the Air Force expect to eliminate the pilot imbalance by Jan. 31, 2009.
