Utah state lawmaker—Republican Rep. LaVar Christensen—wants to rename Hill AFB, Utah, to include the name of former President Ronald Reagan. He would make it: Reagan Hill Air Force Base. In Christensen’s view, according to the Salt Lake City Tribune, there is “a natural connection” between Reagan and the Utah base. We confess that we have read the legislation and don’t quite see evidence of a direct connection. However, there also is no seemingly direct connection with Maj. Ployer Peter Hill, for whom the base is named.
The successful second flight of Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket on Nov. 13 from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Fla., also included a first for the company—the launcher’s booster stuck its landing on a barge in the Atlantic Ocean.
