What About the Nashville Aeromed Folks Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen, according to the City Paper, still has not had his day in court over the dissolution of the 118th Airlift Wing, which includes the movement of the unit’s aeromedical force to Fort Worth, Tex. Bredesen indicates in the lawsuit that losing the aeromed unit would hamper the state’s disaster response capability. It is not clear from the BRAC commission final report whether the commission opted for the aeromedical unit to remain in Tennessee.
The rate of building B-21 bombers would speed up if the fiscal 2026 defense budget passes. But it remains unclear how much capacity would be added, and whether the Air Force would simply build the bombers faster, or buy more.
